Vizzavona and the Cascade des Anglais
Description
Positive elevation: 313m / Negative elevation: 311m Level: OOOOOOO
In the Vizzavona forest, at the foot of Monte d’Oro, the Cascade des Anglais (or rather the Cascades des Anglais) is a group of small waterfalls formed by the Agnone river. The origin of the name of these waterfalls dates back to the 20th century. In the early days of tourism, this place was very popular with British holidaymakers looking for the benefits of a diuretic source. These natural swimming pools with crystal clear waters are an invitation to swim… for those who don’t fear cold water!
