The Sentier des Douaniers du Cap Corse is one of the most beautiful hikes to do on the island. The trail runs along the coastline and offers hikers wild landscapes and magnificent panoramas. Climbing into the maquis, the path enters the protected area of Capandula, property of the Coastal Conservatory, and crosses a setting where the green of the maquis competes with the turquoise of the sea. A first Genoese tower, built on an islet, awaits you before the path descends to reach the outskirts of the Finocchiarola islands. The path then continues, allowing you to discover the island of Giraglia and the superb Santa Maria tower.

What to plan
- Closed lace-up hiking shoes with good ankle support and notched soles
- A backpack with at least 1.5L of water, a picnic and some small snacks
- Clothing suitable for hiking
- A swimsuit and towel for swimming
- A waterproof windbreaker and a fleece
- Depending on the season, effective sun protection: hat or cap, sunglasses, sunscreen
