Girolata, the Postman’s Trail
Description
Positive altitude difference: 680m / Negative altitude difference: 683m Level: OOOOOOO
The Gulf of Girolata and the Scandola nature reserve are exceptional sites whose dazzling beauty captures everyone’s attention. The colors are at their peak here, between the deep blue of the sea into which dizzying cliffs of red granite (porphyry) flow and the green of the preserved vegetation. This marine and terrestrial reserve today shelters flora and above all marine fauna unique in the Mediterranean. At the heart of this site classified as of world interest by UNESCO, the hamlet of Girolata, accessible only by the famous Sentier du Facteur (or by sea), offers visitors an unmissable landscape
