Bonifatu, the Spasimata footbridge

Surrounded by the mountains, the forest of Bonifatu (“place of blessing” in Corsican), is home to many century-old trees. The path, taking part of the famous GR20, runs along the Figarella river full of natural swimming pools. We will reach the Spasimata footbridge, also nicknamed “monkey bridge”. She became especially known to the general public thanks to the film “Les Randonneurs”

What to plan
- Closed lace-up hiking shoes with good ankle support and notched soles
- A backpack with at least 1.5L of water, a picnic and some small snacks
- Clothing suitable for hiking
- A swimsuit and towel for swimming in the river
- A waterproof windbreaker and a fleece
- Depending on the season, effective sun protection: hat or cap, sunglasses, sunscreen
