The Tavignano gorges
Description
Positive elevation: 668m / Negative elevation: 661m Level: OOOOOOO Departing from Corte, the historic capital of Corsica, the Tavignanu valley was for centuries the main route of communication with the Niolu. Numerous earthworks still bear witness today to the importance of this passage. Tavignanu is a perpetual invitation to swim, at the foot of the granite cliffs superbly sculpted by time, or in the shade of the Laricci pines. We will take this old mule trail which offers splendid views of the Corte citadel and the Tavignanu river and will reach the famous Russulinu footbridge.

What to plan
- Closed lace-up hiking shoes with good ankle support and notched soles
- A backpack with at least 1.5L of water, a picnic and some small snacks
- Clothing suitable for hiking
- A swimsuit and towel for swimming in the river
- A waterproof windbreaker and a fleece
- Depending on the season, effective sun protection: hat or cap, sunglasses, sunscreen
